On every location page on the website, we have a bucket list of places we want to go or things we want to do in that particular place. But we have another bucket list going – a list of the villas in Jamaica that we would stay at if we were to become independently wealthy. Check out our list, and let us know if there are others we should add!
We have had a tour of Kai Ki Villa, (but never stayed there) so we can personally attest to how stunning this 9-bedroom, 14,000 square foot villa is. You have your choice of the beautiful pool or private beach for swimming, and there are absolutely wonderful staff that work there. It’s also very easily accessible, being not far off the North-South highway, and close to Drax Hall, which is an emerging commercial hub where there are stores, supermarkets and places to eat. Rates per night at Kai Ki are about $5000 USD.
Next on our wish list is Hermosa Cove, also near Ocho Rios. This is a resort made up of unique villas, many of which have their own private pools, and there also seems to be a lovely beach. The owner is an American art collector, which means that stunning and unique works of art can be found throughout the resort. There’s a wide variety of villa options to chose from, but the one we have our eye on most closely is Buttonwood Reef, an eight-bedroom, two-storey, modern oceanfront villa. Nightly rates are about $5000 USD.
We have spoken about Silver Sands on our Trelawny page already, but want to highlight one villa there in particular that we salivate over. The Silver Sands website allows you to view villas and places to stay by guest ratings, and Tallawah Villa consistently has 5-star reviews. Silver Sands has one of the best beaches in Jamaica, and Tallawah is positioned right on that beach. Despite that, this seven-bedroom villas also has a private infinity pool. Rates are about $2000 USD per night.
The Tryall Club, located near Montego Bay, is another dream location for us. It consists of 74 independently owned villas, and although we have never stayed there, we have been to an event there and can confirm it’s just as beautiful as the legends say! We would happily stay at any of the villas, but if we had to choose, our number one choice would be Ambiance Sea Salt. It’s huge (six bedrooms), has stunning views, and is right next to the Tryall Spa. Why would you ever want to come home? Weekly rates are about $25,000 USD.
